Do I have access to services 24/7?
In addition to our branches in Gonzales, Baton Rouge, Plaquemine and Walker, our members have access to their accounts 24/7 with the availability of Online Banking via desktop or mobile app.
Who can become a member of Essential Credit Union?
Anyone who lives, works, or worships in Essential Credit Union’s service area is eligible for membership. Our service area includes 9 parishes in the Greater Baton Rouge area: Ascension, Livingston, East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, St. Helena, West Feliciana, East Feliciana, New Roads, and Iberville. Our service area also extends into Texas, servicing the Post Offices in the following cities: Pasadena, Deer Park, La Porte, Seabrook, Pearland East, Pearland West, South Houston, Channelview, and Galena Park.
How do I become a member of Essential Credit Union?
You can apply online by clicking here or you can go to one of our branches located in Baton Rouge, Gonzales, Walker and Plaquemine and apply in-person. All it takes is a $5 minimum deposit to become a member and enjoy all of the products and services Essential Credit Union has to offer.
